Sheet A-101 · capabilities
A drafting table that does the math.
Drag-and-drop planners guess. Pro CAD costs $100 a month and a week of training. Trammel puts a real solver behind a tool you already know how to use: draw walls, place doors and windows, and let the geometry hold itself together.
01Parametric constraintsGeometry that keeps its promises.
Parallel, perpendicular, equal-length, exact distance, angle, fix — solved by planegcs, the geometric constraint solver from FreeCAD, compiled to WebAssembly. Pin a wall at 12′-6″ and drag anything else: the solver re-computes the whole plan and your dimension stays exact. Like real CAD, because it is the real thing.
02Smart snapping · live dimensionsDraw fast. Stay exact.
Every wall shows its length while you draw and stays editable after — click a dimension, type a number, the plan updates. Snapping reads your intent and offers the matching constraint as you work, so precision accumulates instead of eroding.
03Automatic roomsRooms find themselves.
Close a loop of walls and Trammel detects the room, fills it, and keeps a live area label that updates with every edit. Name it, style it, rotate the label — the square footage is always current.
04Offline-first · cloud syncYour plans live on your device.
Every edit lands in local storage first, then syncs to the cloud when you are online. Basements, job sites, airplanes — keep drawing. Nothing is held hostage on a server.
05Imperial & metric12′-6″ or 3810 mm. Your call.
Feet-and-inches or metric, switchable per document. Dimension entry parses what you type, either way — the solver does not care which language your tape measure speaks.
